Product Updates: April 2026

Written by OpenLearning | Apr 29, 2026 2:12:34 AM
This month we shipped two substantial updates: a brand new logged-in dashboard that brings your learning world into one view, and a fully redesigned assessor workflow that makes outcomes-based grading a breeze.

Here's what's new.

1. Your OpenLearning Dashboard

A smarter, more connected home base — so you always know where you are, what's next, and what you've missed.

We've shipped a brand new logged-in dashboard that surfaces the most relevant information in one cohesive, modern view. In this first release, you can now see:

  • Recent courses — with progress information and quick-resume links
  • Program progress — a clear view of where you're at across your programs
  • Notifications — everything you've missed, without having to dig for it

We're already working on the second iteration, which will include a course feed designed to encourage social learning, community engagement and more. Stay tuned.

Where to Find It:

You'll land here automatically after logging in. You can also access it any time via the Dashboard icon in the top navigation bar, or through Profile menu → Dashboard.

2. Outcomes Report — Assessor Grading Redesigned

Faster, clearer, less clicking — a fully rebuilt assessor workflow for outcomes-based grading is now live.

The assessor workflow in Outcomes Reports has been fully redesigned. Assessors can now:

  • View rubrics and learner evidence side-by-side — no more switching between screens
  • Navigate smoothly between learners, criteria, and posts without losing context
  • Provide feedback at three distinct levels — post, criterion, and report

See feedback visibility clearly — private learner feedback is labelled "Private to {Learner Name}" so there's no confusion with class comments.

Try It Now:
