Previously, administrators did not have a dedicated way to restrict class enrolment specifically to learners from selected programs.
This could create unnecessary friction, including learners encountering payment pages for classes that were already included as part of their program.

OpenLearning now includes a new enrolment type, that is Private: Program based access. This allows administrators to select which programs should provide access to a class.
Learners who belong to one of the selected programs can access the class directly without going through a payment page, while learners outside the selected programs will not see the class.
Where To Find It:
Go to: Course Admin > Create/Edit Class > Enrolment Type > Private: Program based access
Select the relevant programs to determine who can access the class.
Program structures often bring multiple courses together into a defined learning pathway. Program-based access gives administrators a more precise way to connect classes with the learners who are entitled to access them.
For learners, this means fewer unnecessary steps between being enrolled in a program and accessing the relevant course. For administrators, it provides clearer control over who can access a particular class.
