This award focuses on an ‘industry- specific’ eLearning project that was implemented to drive and support talent development. This project can be industry-wide or targeted to an industry subgroup.
Temasek Polytechnic is a tertiary education institution in Singapore which offers industry-relevant full-time and part-time diploma courses, one of which includes Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Managers, delivered online using the OpenLearning platform.
In recent years, there has been an unprecedented surge in the integration of AI technology into everyday life. This surge has been driven by advancements in machine learning, data analytics and more. Many professionals work in industries that are becoming more reliant on AI technology for everyday use. Some may even be working on a venture that could utilise AI in new and exciting ways. It is evident that AI’s transformative impact is reshaping the way we interact with technology, for daily conveniences in our society, in one form or another.
For this submission, OpenLearning was awarded with the highest accolade (7 stars) - the Platinum Award.

This award focuses on an eLearning project an enterprise implemented that was designed as a free online resource to drive or support talent development. The project can be enterprise-wide, group-specific, or targeted at an industry.
The OpenLearning Certified Educator Program (OCEP) is a foundational program designed for those seeking to develop or enhance knowledge and skills in education and online course design and development including online facilitation and assessment. The OCEP comprises five (5) fully online, free-of-charge, micro-credentials offered in synchronous and asynchronous modes with indicative learning hours of 5 hours per micro-credential. The OCEP is micro-credentialed as an OpenCred.
Learners earn badges per micro-credential as they go along. The micro-credentials stack up to the OpenLearning Certified Educator certificate on completion of all micro-credentials in the program.
The primary objective of the OCEP is to positively influence and train educators and developers at all levels and across the globe to develop meaningful and interactive online courses and programs based on theoretically grounded learning philosophies.
For this submission, OpenLearning was awarded with the second highest accolade (6 stars) - the Diamond Award.
This award focuses on a new or significantly altered learning technology and enterprise implementation project that exemplified industry innovation in driving and supporting talent development (e.g. LMS software, application, tools, cloud-based, mobile, chatbot, AR/VR/XR, AI etc). The project can be enterprise-wide or targeted to a specific group. Guides presented in brackets for each criterion are optional.
The Principles of Artificial Intelligence course is a new program designed by in-house experts within the OpenLearning Team for those seeking a solid understanding of the fundamental concepts, techniques and applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Learners delve into the historical context of AI, explore different types of AI, and examine real-world applications. Gaining hands-on experience with machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, and ethical considerations in AI development, learners are able to explore AI applications in various domains. By the end of the course, participants will have a strong foundation in AI and be well-prepared to tackle the challenges and opportunities presented by this rapidly evolving field.
The paid online course comprises ten modules, presented accordingly on a weekly basis, delving into various topics and scenarios. To amplify the presence of AI in today’s evolving world, the Principles of Artificial Intelligence course itself has been ideated and executed using OpenLearning’s bespoke suite of AI-assisted features.
